The AFCON second round of group stage games ended on Sunday, 21st January 2024. Hence, the third and final round began yesterday, and it continues today

The second round of group-stage games has ensured that the shockers and dramas that characterized the first round weren’t halted, but stimulated and incited. This round began with the hosts losing to Nigeria to drop down to 3rd on the Group A table.

Tunisia and Mali played out a 1-1 draw, while South Africa thrashed Namibia 4-0, to intensify the competition in the group. Both games in Group F ended in a draw. First off, DR Congo held Morocco to a 1-1 draw, then Patson Daka of Zambia ensured Tanzania could only take one point away from the game.
