Osimhen Defends Napoli At The CAF Awards – ‘It’s a Mistake’

During the press conference after the award show the Footballer stated that he wanted to correct the notion that he had been mistreated by Napoli or its president, Aurelio de Laurentiis.

He further mentioned that the video incident was a “stupid mistake by an individual” suggesting that it was an isolated event that had already been sorted by the club.

“I wasn’t happy about it but ADL, his son Eduardo and a lot of them stood with me and they made sure the individual was dealt with appropriately and that was the most important thing to me.”

“I spoke with the person in charge of everything and he was remorseful and then we sorted everything out and I’m happy with them.”

He went on to put the moment in the past and also took time to congratulate his fellow award winners and ended with praising Nigeria for the great country full of talent it is.
