In Laliga, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Osasuna won’t be playing this weekend, as they were the final four in the Spanish Super Cup, held in Saudi Arabia.

More interestingly, the African Cup of Nations begins this weekend as well, with the hosts, Ivory Coast, taking on Guinea Bissau. Here, you can catch all the live actions across Europe’s top 5 leagues. We also bring you AFCON SPECIAL throughout the African Cup of Nations Tournament.

Selected Previews

Newcastle vs Manchester City

This huge fixture has come at the wrong time for Newcastle, who have had intense struggles that have pushed them downward on the league table. Currently, they sit 9th after consecutively losing points in their last couple of games. Injuries haven’t done them any good, as they’ve lost a good number of important players in recent times.

Manchester City, however, is buzzing again, with the return of Kevin Debruyne being a huge boost. The city looks like a resurgent team and is known to always be at their very best in the second half of the season.

PREDICTION: Newcastle 1-2 Man City

Manchester United vs Tottenham

The first leg of this game saw Manchester United lose 2-0 away at the White Hart Lane. With the inconsistency of United, they seem very unpredictable. However, it’s so clear that they stand a chance against a Tottenham side who have just lost their top scorer, Heung Min Son, to the Asian Cup. Tottenham, the better side, play away without their starman; United, the struggling side, play at home with the return of some injured players. It definitely will be a fierce battle and might end in a draw.

PREDICTION: Man United 2-2 Tottenham

Selected Preview

Barcelona vs Real Madrid

For the second year in a row, Madrid and Barcelona will be facing off in Saudi Arabia for their Super Cup final clash. Barcelona walks into the game as defending champions after defeating Real Madrid 3-1 in the last time out.

Barcelona defeated Osasuna 2-0 to set up the final with Madrid,
Barca’s win against Osasuna was the first time they’ll lead by more than two goals since September, a remarkable tale of their recent struggles. Madrid has been the better side recently and proved that in their eight-goal thriller against Athletico.

In this fixture, a repeat of last year’s outcome seems very likely, only that Madrid will be winners this time.

PREDICTION: Real Madrid 3-1 Barcelona
