The Dubai Sports Council recently held a meeting to discuss the latest preparations for organizing the 23rd Dubai Marathon, the oldest long-distance running race in the Middle East. This event, which is supported by the council, will take place on Sunday.
During the meeting, which took place under the guidance of Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, Assistant Secretary-General, Peter Connerton, Event Director, and Alan Ewens, Media Director, the participants discussed various aspects related to the preparations for the marathon.

23rd Dubai Marathon to Feature Three Distances
A press conference will be held on Friday at SIRO One Za’abeel, during which further details of the event will be announced, elite athletes will be introduced, and the new Dubai Marathon trophy unveiled. The event will include three distances for participants to compete in a 42.195km Marathon, a 10km Road Race, and a 4 km Fun Run race.
Participants will have the opportunity to pass through iconic attractions such as Burj Al Arab, Madinat Jumeirah, and Palm Island. The race is open to participants of all nationalities, both from within and outside of the United Arab Emirates.
